Nickel 200/UNS N02200
Alloy 200/Nickel200/UNSN02200/2.4066
Density:8.89g/cm³
Nickel 200 iscommercially pure (99.6%) wrought nickel. It has good mechanical properties andexcellent resistance to many corrosive environments. Other useful features ofthe alloy are its magnetic and magnetostrictive properties, high thermal andelectrical conductivities, low gas content and low vapor pressure. Nickel ishighly resistant to various reducing chemicals and is unexcelled in resistanceto caustic alkalies. Compared with nickel alloys, commercially pure nickel hashigh electrical and thermal conductivity. It also has a high Curie temperatureand good magnetostrictive properties. Annealed nickel has a low hardness andgood ductility and malleability. Those attributes, combined with goodweldability, make the metal highly fabricable. Nickel has a relatively lowwork-hardening rate, but it can be cold worked to moderately high strengthlevels while maintaining ductility.
